Apple Crumb Pie

Ingredients :

1 (nine inch) pie shell
6 cups thinly sliced apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
three/four cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-cause flour
half teaspoon floor cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup raisins (elective)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (elective)
1/2 cup all-motive flour
half of cup packed brown sugar
three tablespoons butter

Instructions :

Preheat oven to 375 levels F (one hundred ninety levels C).
Place sliced apples in a huge bowl; sprinkle with lemon juice, if desired. In a small bowl, mix together white sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle mixture over apples and toss till apple slices are lightly covered. Stir in raisins and walnuts (non-obligatory). Transfer aggregate into pastry shell.
In a small bowl ,blend together 1/2 cup flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter or margarine until combination is crumbly. Sprinkle aggregate over apple filling. Cover pinnacle loosely with aluminum foil.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an extra 25 to half-hour, until top is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool on a wire rack.
