Texas New Mexico Chili |
"This is a hybrid of two chili recipes and it is terrific. I serve it with tortilla chips and cheese. Makes amazing nachos!!"
Ingredients :
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 pound floor beef
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 (14.Five ounce) cans chook broth
- 1 (14.Five ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid
- three tablespoons cornmeal

- In a big pot over medium warmness, combine the onion, garlic, purple bell pepper and ground beef and saute for 10 minutes, or until meat is browned. Add the cumin, chili powder, oregano and bay leaf and saute for two to three greater mins.
