Tomato Sauce with Sausage |

Ingredients :
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 pounds Italian sausage, casings eliminated
- 2 big onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped garlic
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup chopped sparkling basil
- salt and pepper to flavor

- In a big saucepan warmth oil and saute sausage till brown, approximately 6 mins. Add onion and garlic to pot and saute approximately eight minutes. Mix in tomato paste, tomatoes, water and basil. Bring to a boil. Break up tomatoes. Reduce warmness to medium and simmer until thickened, about 45 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
