"Carolina style shredded beef BBQ. This recipe was given to us whilst we lived inside the Carolinas."
Ingredients :
- 6 pounds beef shoulder
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon overwhelmed red pepper flakes
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- three tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 clove garlic, pressed

- Place beef shoulder, bay leaf, pink pepper and water in huge pot with lid. Bring to boil. Simmer covered 4 to five hours until meat is soft. Let meat cool in broth. Remove excess fats from broth and shred meat.
- Take three cups of liquid and bring to boil. Combine liquid with vinegar, sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Add shredded beef and salt. Heat thru exposed.
