Black Bean Soup I |
"I live in which black beans are a favorite, and I wanted black bean soup with a unique taste. The results had been splendidly scrumptious. Serve with corn cakes. This recipe freezes well. Enjoy."
Ingredients :
- 2 cups dry black beans
- 1 ham bone
- 6 cups water
- four cups bird broth
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, diced
- half of cup chopped ham
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

- Simmer beans, water, ham bone, broth, and salt for 1 half hours.
- Discard ham bone. Puree approximately 1/2 of soup; pour returned into pot.
- Saute onion, tomato, and meat in oil till onion is gentle. Stir in vinegar, and then upload combination to beans. Simmer for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
