"This recipe is at least 175 years vintage. It has been in my own family all the time, it just gets passed down from one generation to the subsequent. Makes good gingerbread guys."

Ingredients :

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • nine cups all-cause flour

  • Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses slowly, stirring continuously. Mix spices with cream of tartar and upload to aggregate.
