Uncle Mike's Vinegar Pepper Sauce

"This is a North Carolina-fashion BBQ sauce that I have used for years. It's extremely good on any meat. Lots of vinegar - it truly is the North Carolina manner! Be cautious though, this one's spicy."

Ingredients :

1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
10 tablespoons ketchup
half teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 cup water
salt and black pepper to flavor
