Cajun Dirty Rice

"One of our circle of relatives's all-time favorites. Make it as highly spiced or moderate as you please. It is hearty on a chilly winter's night time. If you're cooking for a crowd, this recipe can easily be doubled. Be positive to serve this with cornbread!"

Ingredients :

1 pound lean floor beef
1 pound beef sausage
1 onion, finely diced
1 (8 ounce) bundle dirty rice mix
2 cups water
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, tired
salt and pepper to flavor

Instructions :

In a skillet over medium warmth, brown the floor pork, sausage, and onion; drain.
In a massive pan, combine rice mix and a pair of cups water. Add diced tomatoes and chilies. Stir in the kidney beans. Bring to a boil, then add meat mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Return to boil, reduce warmth, and cover, stirring from time to time. Cook for 25 minutes, till rice is without problems fluffed with a fork.
