Caramel Corn III

Ingredients :

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 half cups unpopped popcorn
1 cup packed brown sugar
half of cup butter
1/4 cup mild corn syrup
half of teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon baking soda

Instructions :

In a four quart saucepan, add 1 tablespoon of the oil , and heat over excessive warmth. When oil is hot, add half cup of popping corn. Keep pan transferring continuously. When corn stops popping, do away with from warmth. Place popped corn in oven to hold warm. Repeat till all corn has been popped.
Preheat oven to 200 levels F (ninety five tiers C).
Boil sugar, butter, syrup, and salt for five minutes. Remove from warmness, upload baking soda. Stir well.
Pour over popped corn. Spread onto cookie sheets and area in oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 min. Remove from oven and let cool, breaking apart the popcorn as it cools. Store in air tight boxes.
