| Sour Cream Cookies II |
"These are scrumptious cookies that my mother made at Christmas, however are exact each time. Try making them using pecans, but any nuts will do. I like them with a cup of coffee. Top those cookies with icing."
Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 half cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup bitter cream
- 3 cups all-motive flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- half of teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 half of cups raisins

- In a medium bowl, cream collectively the shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla till clean. Then stir in the bitter cream. Sift collectively the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda; stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, stir inside the pecans and raisins. Cover dough and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (one hundred seventy five stages C). Grease cookie sheet.
