  • Place 1 cup of hot custard aggregate in a small bowl and stir in chocolate chips until aggregate is clean and chocolate is melted. Pour into bottom of baked pastry shell and sit back in refrigerator.
  • Soften gelatin in bloodless water for 5 minutes, then stir into last custard combination. Chill till aggregate is barely thickened. In a medium glass or metal bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Continue to overcome at the same time as slowly adding half cup sugar, till whites form stiff peaks. Fold whites into custard aggregate. Gently pour this aggregate over chocolate layer in pastry shell. Chill until completely set, as a minimum four hours.
  • Just prior to serving, whip 1 cup cream until stiff. Garnish pie with whipped cream and chocolate curls if preferred.
