Cabin Dinner

"We used to have this for dinner for the duration of the summer season on the lake. Whoever became cooking would throw all of it together inside the morning and with the aid of dinner time, it was geared up. Ingredients :

1/four cup vegetable oil
four cloves garlic, chopped
1 yellow onion, diced
1 purple bell pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons floor cumin
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons floor turmeric
salt and pepper to taste
1 half of (sixteen ounce) cans kidney beans, drained with liquid reserved
2 tablespoons tomato paste
warm sauce to taste

Instructions :

Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium warmness. Saute garlic, onion, bell pepper, parsley, chili powder, cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt and pepper, till onions are tender. Stir in kidney beans and some of the reserved liquid until desired consistency. Stir in tomato paste and warm sauce.
Reduce warmness to low, cover and simmer for an hour, stirring every now and then. Add extra bean liquid and/or water if essential so that beans don't dry out.
