"This is our conventional Christmas eve meal that my Grandmother serves each year. It is excellent while boiled, cubed, potatoes or macaroni noodles are brought, you select which one after which deliver it a strive."
Ingredients :
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 15 oz sauerkraut with juice
- 6 cups water
- 3 cups chopped mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic
- salt and pepper to flavor
- three/four cup macaroni

- In a huge saucepan over medium heat, saute onion in butter until brown.
- Stir in sauerkraut with juice, water, mushrooms and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and convey to a boil. Then reduce warmth, cover and let simmer for 1 hour. Stir in pasta and simmer 10 mins extra, until pasta is al dente.
