Sea Foam III |
"This is a sweet crafted from meringue and is said to resemble sea foam. I located this recipe in my stepmother's recipe box. I believe it become her mother's. This is super stuff!"
Ingredients :
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/eight teaspoon salt
- 1/eight teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- In a medium pot, integrate sugar, water, salt and cream of tarter. Cover aggregate and let boil five mins.
- Uncover the pot after the five mins of boiling have elapsed, wipe the sides of the pot with a moist cloth. Continue boiling till the aggregate reaches the firm ball stage.
- Pour the aggregate over stiffly crushed egg whites, and stir in vanilla. Continue beating till the candy holds its form while dropped from a spoon. Drop the mixture by spoonfuls onto wax paper, allow cool.
