- Put egg whites, brown sugar, water and syrup in pinnacle of double boiler. Beat until blended well. Place over swiftly boiling water. Beat constantly with electric beater while it chefs for 7 mins or until it will stand in peaks whilst beater is raised. Remove from warmth. Add maple flavoring. Beat. Fills and frosts 2 layer cake, 8 or 9 inch.
