Chocolate Cherry Cake III

1 (18.25 ounce) bundle devil's food cake mix
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
five tablespoons butter
1/3 cup milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
