- In a small saucepan, integrate sugar, corn syrup, water, cream of tartar, and salt. Cook over medium warmth, stirring constantly, until aggregate comes to a boil and sugar has dissolved. Remove from warmth.
- In a medium blending bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. With mixer on medium speed, slowly pour the recent syrup aggregate over the egg whites. Turn mixer to high velocity and beat till stiff peaks form. Spread over top of pie, overlaying filling absolutely. May brown meringue in oven in case you desire.
